Hi everyone,
Hi,
On September 16, my GitHub account (
BenjiMandel) was unexpectedly restricted, which also automatically revoked my active GitHub Education status and benefits.I contacted support, and an agent lifted the restriction and restored my account access within a few hours. However, lifting the account restriction did not restore my Education benefits, and when I tried to re-apply as instructed, I discovered my account is trapped in a broken backend redirect loop:
github.com/settings/education/benefitsshows my status as "Revoked on September 16, 2026".https://github.com/pricing.education.github.com/packcontradicts the revoked status and displays a banner stating: "We're still processing your application."Previous support replies only sent automated copy-paste FAQ checklists, and my follow-ups with screenshots and a screen recording went unanswered for weeks. I have now opened Ticket #4858322 with the full details and recordings attached.
I use GitHub Copilot and other benefits for my studies and have been locked out of it for a month now because of this redirect bug. Could a GitHub staff member or moderator please look into Ticket #4858322 (account:
BenjiMandel) and have a human engineer manually reset the stuck application flag so I stop getting redirected to the pricing page? Thanks,
Benji
