GitHub Copilot is currently unavailable for accounts billed through Azure #209812

hello there , I hope this will help you. |

I'm experiencing the exact same issue. Our GitHub account is correctly linked to an Azure subscription, and billing for other GitHub services is working normally through Azure. However, when trying to enable GitHub Copilot, we receive the error: "GitHub Copilot is currently unavailable for accounts billed through Azure." Interestingly, we have another environment where GitHub Copilot billing through Azure is working perfectly fine, using the same billing model. I've already opened a support ticket but haven't received any response so far. The Azure billing integration is clearly working, and since Copilot billing works in another environment, the issue seems to be specific to this GitHub account or enterprise configuration. Could someone from GitHub clarify why this is happening and whether there is a fix or workaround available? |

Same here. I opened a support issue for this 4 days ago but no response as yet. The message seems too generic to be related to an unsupported Azure Subscription type, but maybe I'll try creating a new PAYG subscription in Azure and try again. |

Same issue here. I've opened a support ticket and spoken with contacts at both GitHub and Microsoft, but unfortunately, there is still no clear answer about what's causing the issue, what the current guidelines are, or when and if GitHub will allow GitHub Copilot to be paid for through Azure subscriptions again. |
