CoPilot Code Review Centralized Control (Spaces support?) #208654

I agree. Adding Spaces support to Copilot Code Review would make centralized control much easier. It would be useful to manage review instructions and shared context across multiple repositories from one place. |

Until Spaces are connected to code review, there is already one central place for review rules: organization custom instructions. An organization owner sets them once under the organization's Settings → Copilot → Custom instructions (how to add them), and they apply across the organization. Copilot code review on GitHub.com is one of the features that currently supports them, along with Copilot Chat and the cloud agent on GitHub.com. They're included in Copilot Business and Copilot Enterprise. That covers your first point for shared review rules, whether a team works in a monorepo or in one repo per service. Repository custom instructions still apply on top for team-specific rules. It doesn't cover the other things you mention, MCP definitions and pulling in context from other repositories, so a Spaces integration would still add something there. |

Not Spaces, but one central-control item to check: the Copilot Code Review policy on the Agents page is one of the policies covered by GitHub's new "Default policy for new features." That default is Enabled. If CCR or MCP servers are left Unconfigured, they follow it from Oct 22, so set them explicitly if you want a fixed posture. https://github.blog/changelog/2026-09-24-default-enablement-of-copilot-features-for-copilot-business-and-enterprise/ |

Copilot Code Review
Body
1️⃣ Some teams use monorepos, some teams make a repo per service. In both cases it would be useful to be able to manage code review instructions from a centralized point.
Spaces should be such a central point, but Code Review does not couple with Spaces at all.
Coupling with spaces would allow the ability to define central rules for all repos, MCP definitions, and bring in context from other repositories.
2️⃣ We do have the option to turn on automatic reviews centrally which is good 👍
